The photo shows a man, Mesut Hancer, who is holding the hand of his 15-year-old daughter Irmak, who died in the earthquake in Kahramanmaras, close to the quake's epicentre, the day after a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck the country's southeast. Between July and September 2022, all around the world, teachers worked with their pupils on the selection of Gaze into the mind of 15 year olds. Close to 16,500 young people took part in the vote!
Students from Germany, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Lithuania, Morocco, Romania, Senegal and Tunisia participated in the operation.
